Hour of Code!

Dear Parents,

We live in a world surrounded by technology. And we know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly depend on understanding how technology works.

That’s why we are joining in on the largest learning event in history: The Hour of Code, during Computer Science Education Week (December 4-10).

Our Hour of Code is making a statement that Woodson is ready to teach these foundational 21st century skills.

Free coding activities can be found on our "computer lab symbaloo"  Encourage your students to have fun with these activities at home,  too!

Word Processing

Students have been exploring word processing tools.  Primary students have been practicing using special keys on the keyboard to edit texts.  They have been utilizing  Microsoft Word to revise and edit texts.
Grades 3-5 have been exploring special  tools in Google Docs such as research tools and special characters.
