College, University, Career: Wor- Wic Community College for my first two years of college, Salisbury University for my remaining two years. Interested Field of Study: Nursing Plans in the Future: Noelle reported, “I plan on working at Tidal Health in Salisbury for a few years to gain experience and eventually become a trauma nurse at Johns Hopkins.” What do you like most about the CAHS Community?: Noelle reported, “I like how the students always have resources available around school if we need them.”

The 2025 Band Awards program was held on Wednesday evening. Here are a few more photos to enjoy. Mrs. Heather McHenry expressed her appreciation to all of the students for their dedication and hard work this past year, and to the Band Boosters who are invaluable to the band program. A select group of students will be performing at the Memorial Day Remembrance service at the Crisfield Veteran's Cemetery on Monday, May 26 at 11:00 am.

College, University, Career: McDaniel College Interested Field of Study: Biology Plans in the Future: Mya reported, “To become an ER Doctor.” What do you like most about the CAHS Community?: Mya reported, “I like how small and tight knit the community is, everyone knows each other.”

Tonight the band celebrated another magnificent year filled with performances showcasing the talent, hard work and commitment of some extraordinary musicians! Mrs. McHenry, along with her two drum majors, Dillon and Autumn, had a 100% success rate in every competition they performed in. I couldn't be more proud of this band and the way they represented the school and community!

Earlier this year, Zach Gunter was once again selected as a Ben Carson Scholar, a prestigious honor awarded to students who exemplify academic excellence and a strong commitment to community service. On Sunday, May 18th, the Gunter family attended the 29th Annual Maryland Carson Scholars Fund Banquet, where Zach had the distinguished opportunity to speak with Dr. Ben Carson and his wife, Candy Carson. This marks the sixth time Zach has received this esteemed recognition—an extraordinary achievement that reflects his dedication, character, and leadership. We are extremely proud of Zach and commend him for his continued excellence and the positive example he sets for his peers.

College, University, Career: Automotive Technician Interested Field of Study: Firearm manufacturing Plans in the Future: Nicholas reported, “Buy a house and start my own business.” What do you like most about the CAHS Community?: Nicholas reported, “Quiet.”

The United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore Addiction Awareness Art Exhibition was held recently and the following winners were announced by Art teacher Mr. David Simpson.: Honorable Mentions for all counties- Katrina Diaz and Faith Corbin (first time winners!) 2nd Place Somerset County- Jazmyne Cruey Best in Show for All Counties- Harmony Carter Congrats to all!

College, University, Career: University of Maryland College Park Interested Field of Study: Pre-Med Plans in the Future: Jeremy reported, “Financially Stable.” What do you like most about the CAHS Community?: Jeremy reported, “I love the staff. I think everybody has helped guide me and push me. I could not ask for better people to guide me!”

CA&HS is continuing to showcase a student that is considered College and Career Ready by the Maryland College and Career ready standards. This means the student has excelled through rigorous school instruction. This week we are showcasing Harmony Carter! College, University, Career: Culinary Institute of America Interested Field of Study: Culinary Arts & Food Business Management Plans in the Future: Harmony reported, “Become a chef in the city and have my own restaurant one day.” What do you like most about the CAHS Community?: Harmony reported, “I like the supportive staff and opportunities that are available for the students.”

CHS Class of 2025 bumper stickers are on sale now for $6 each, with 50% of the proceeds to benefit the senior class. Seniors wishing to purchase one should get in touch with Christ Lehrer, or call the school at 410-968-0150.

Reminder: Spring Sports Photos will be taken tomorrow beginning at 10:30 am. All athletes should bring their uniforms to school to change into.
