The entire student body, complete with band accompaniment, saw Ms. Erin Walbert (8th grade social studies), our Teacher of the Year, off for her limo ride to their luncheon today. The banquet, when elementary and secondary teachers of the year are announced, is set for Friday evening at UMES. Good luck Ms. Walbert!

Ms. Traci Young 8th Grade ELA When I was a student at Crisfield High School, I remember that the male teachers were paid more than the female teachers. This was hard for me to understand, since the female teachers worked just as hard and performed the same job duties. There were also many jobs that women were not allowed to do such as police officers, fire fighters, etc. As a teacher, I am grateful for those who brought about change to these practices. During this month, we recognize the women who paved the way for others to gain equality.
