Next week is Picture Day on Wednesday! 4th grade is swimming at the YMCA Mon-Wed. Friday is our first PBIS incentive. Students may dress casual, the theme is REDWHITEBLUE/USA. Students must have no referrals or unexcused absences.Looking ahead: October 2nd we are closed for teacher professional development.

Social media threats continue circulating in our area and around the Eastern Shore. These threats have been analyzed by law enforcement and our school safety partners and deemed to be non-credible. As always, student and staff safety is our highest priority. Thank you to our students and families for sharing these social media posts with law enforcement and school personnel. Next Wednesday, September 25th, will be our uniform picture day for students. All students will have their pictures taken regardless of purchase. You can pre-purchase your pictures online at www.strawbridge.net using our DIS code FM461253. You can also send in a check made out to Strawbridge Studios.


The Maryland Center for School Safety released information late last night about a nationwide social media threat that has been circulating throughout communities. SCPS wants to make all of our families aware that this threat has been deemed non-credible by local law enforcement, and schools will continue normal operations today. As always, student and staff safety is our highest priority and we appreciate the outreach from our community on this issue.

Please note the time and format change of this Special Board Meeting: The Somerset County Board of Education will hold a special board meeting on September 10, 2024 at 5:30 PM. The meeting will begin with a motion to convene in Closed Session from 5:30 - 6:30 PM to discuss confidential matters. The meeting will reconvene for Open Session at 6:30 PM to review and approve personnel appointments, employee unit contracts and revisions to the 2024-2025 academic calendar.
