Good evening Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the week ahead.  Congratulations to our students of the week Micah Cooper and Ella Desjardins.  Micah is a Pre-K 3 student and always helpful with other students and patient with them.  Ella is in 5th grade.  She is a great role model and sets a good example.  A huge shout out goes to our staff members of the week Mr. Eddie Daniels and Mrs. Taylor Evans in 4th grade.  They are a dynamic duo and foster great relationships with the students in their classes.

On Wednesday, November 8th, we will have a casual day for a Woodson Family in need.  Students will need to pay $1 and staff $2 to participate in this casual day.  Please be mindful of the dress code guidelines for a casual day.  If students are not in appropriate casual attire, then they will have to call their parent or guardian to bring them a change of clothes.

The Judy Center would like to invite you to the Crisfield Library on Wednesday, November 8th at 5:00 pm for a workshop on how to make the most of your grocery budget.  Childcare, dinner, and giveaways are included.  Please RSVP to Ms. Sherri Allen by November 7th if you plan to attend.

On Thursday, November 9th, we will have Coffee & Curriculum for 4th grade at 9:00 am and then 5th grade will be at 10:15 am.  Coffee & Curriculum is an event for parents to come out and get some information about upcoming skills and concepts that your children will be learning.  Coffee and light snacks will be provided.  Educational materials will also be given out.  Please make sure you RSVP to your child’s teacher.  Please make sure you bring your driver’s license or government ID, so you can be checked into our Navigate 360 system.

Also, on Thursday, Quarter 1 ends.  Quarter 1 Report Cards will be issued to go home with the students on Friday, November 17th.  Please check your child’s backpack to ensure you have received them.

This coming Friday, November 10th will be an early dismissal day for students.  Students will be dismissed at 12:30 pm.  Also, Friday will be a Woodson Spirit Day, which means students can wear a Woodson spirit shirt or House shirt, with uniform bottoms.

Please send your child to school with a water bottle, so they can refill them at our water coolers.  Also, as the weather is becoming slightly colder, please send your child with either a uniform sweater or crew neck sweatshirt without a logo.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and have a great weekend.
