Good afternoon, Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the coming week.  Congratulations to our staff members of the week, Mrs. Kristen Corbin, Miss Rachel Connor, and Mrs. Stephanie Cullen.  These ladies work well as a team to make sure Mrs. Bennett’s students are getting their needs met.  They also help to redirect the students to task and make sure they are learning.  What a remarkable team.  Ms. Amy Corbin is also being celebrated as a staff member of the week.  Ms. Amy Corbin is a dedicated and caring educator.  She strives at creating activities that make learning fun and engaging.  She has created a positive learning environment in which students are challenged and accepted.  Ms. Corbin is a true role model of what it means to be a lifelong learner.  Congratulations to all of these well deserving educators.

Congratulations to our students of the week.  Stella Hernandez in PreK3 is a kind friend to all and a role model to her peers.  She’s always willing to lend a hand and tries her best with everything, every day.  Guadalupe Oviedo Hernandez, in 1st grade, is a shining star for everyone to look up to.  She is an amazing friend to others.  Jahlil White in 2nd grade, is helpful to his teacher in the classroom and always kind.  He has also shown a positive attitude when completing assignments.  Fatima Trejo-Tellez in 2nd grade, works hard every day.  You can see how hard she tries in everything that she does.  Derrick Ball in 3rd grade, is always quiet and respectful in class.  He was a superstar on his field trip to the Tawes Museum.  We also celebrate Elijah Kellam in 5th grade.  He worked extremely hard on his end of the year Reading MAP assessment.  He met and surpassed his goal for reading.  Way to go to all of these awesome Woodson Waves!
