Good afternoon, Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the coming week. We had a very successful first week back at school. The students did an amazing job with their teachers settling into their routine. We are so glad to have the students back in our halls!
Are you in 5th grade and interested in signing up for the Woodson Waves Band? Come on out on Wednesday, September 11 at 5pm in the Woodson cafeteria to learn more and sign-up. Members from the CAHS band will be here to show off and explain the different instrument choices.
Please make sure you update your forms on the PowerSchool portal if your child is a returning student. Also, please return any forms that were sent home for you to sign.
Please send your child to school with a water bottle, so they can refill them from our coolers. Students must be dressed in uniform daily. Students must wear a collared shirt or collared dress. Burgundy is an acceptable color for tops, but not bottoms, so please don’t send students in burgundy pants, shorts, or skirts. Students may not wear gray or red tops either.
Thursday, September 12th will be a casual day for a Woodson Family in Need. Students and staff can only participate if they donate to the cause. The cost is $1.00 for students and $2.00 for staff to participate. Students may wear jeans, but they can’t have any holes, rips, shreds, or holes with patched behind them even if they were purchased that way. Students are not permitted to wear mid-drift or crop tops, spaghetti tank tops, or shorts that are shorter than two inches above the knee. Students are not permitted to wear slippers or slides.
Friday, September 13th is a Woodson Spirit Day, which means students may wear their Woodson Elementary Spirit shirt or House shirt, with uniform bottoms only.
