Good afternoon, Woodson Wave Families- Happy New Year! This is Liz Berry with some news for the coming week. Congratulations to our Star Staff Member of the Week, Mrs. Korinne Jones. Mrs. Jones works so hard to create fun holiday programs for our students and their families. These concerts really put everyone in the holiday spirit. Thank you so much for all your time and effort you put into making the holiday season so memorable, Mrs. Jones.
A big shout out for our Star Students of the Week- JaMyi Douglas and Stella Hernandez in Pre-K. JaMyi is a hard worker and is always helping others. She always makes green choices in the classroom. Stella is a huge help in the classroom. She is always helping her teachers and her classmates in any way she can. Way to go ladies!!! We are very proud of you both!!!
We hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe Holiday Break. We are looking forward to seeing our students and staff return this coming Monday, January 6th. After School Clubs resume on Monday, January 6th. Tutoring will resume on Tuesday, January 7th.
On Wednesday, January 8th, Quarter 2 Midterms will be issued. Please check your child’s bookbag to ensure have been brought home.
Please make sure students are dressed in appropriate uniform attire when they return. Also, since it is colder out, please make sure they have a school approved sweater or sweatshirt in uniform colors without a hood. Hoodies are not permitted on a uniform or casual day.
Students are encouraged to bring a water bottle as we no longer have cups, so they can refill their water from the coolers.
