Good afternoon, Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the coming week. Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Week, Ms. Sheena Trader. Ms. Trader goes above and beyond to support her students and co-workers. She is a ray of sunshine always smiling and willing to help in any way she can.
A shout out goes to our WES Students of the Week: Victoria Hyland and Trace Cain, who are both 5th Grade students. Victoria is being celebrated for consistently participating in class discussions and is always eager to help her classmates. Her positive attitude and willingness to contribute are not only appreciated, but set a wonderful example for everyone. Trace is being recognized for being a friend to all. He also can always be counted on to follow the Woodson Way! He sets a positive example for his peers through his kindness, responsibility, and dedication. Way to go Victoria and Trace!!!
Last Friday, students should have received their Quarter 3 midterm report.
Monday, March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day. Students and Staff can participate in a free casual day and wear green attire if they choose.
Thursday, March 20th is an early dismissal day for Parent & Teacher conferences. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 pm. Conferences will be 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm. If you are interested in setting up a conference, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
The following week on Wednesday, March 26th we invite parents out for a great night to learn about Conscious Discipline, put on by our partnership with the Judy Center. “Come out to explore new ways to increase connection with your child, improve self-regulation and support positive behavior in your home. This will begin at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. Dinner and materials will be provided.
