Due to the Incentive in the gym on Thursday, Gym and Media Specials will be switched. Gym will be on WEDNESDAY. Please wear sneakers!
Next week we have a free casual day on Thursday for our January Incentive. It's also the last day of the Quarter 2. No school for students on Friday. We are still accepting tabs, school store envelopes, Jump Rope for Heart donations and Shorebirds ticket bookmarks. Thank you for your support!
Due to fog, schools will open after a 2 hour delay today, Friday, January 26, 2024 for students, teachers and staff. Essential & FNS staff should report on time or when safe.
Here are our new DIS vocabulary words of the week! In an effort to improve our vocabulary usage across all grade levels, we have created these vocabulary cards for our school and families to use at home and in the classroom. We encourage you each week to try to incorporate our DIS word(s) of the week into your conversations at home. This week's words are inspired by the Disney movie, "Beauty and the Beast" Thank you for your continued effort in supporting our students' education!
We have a full week for January 22-26 with tutoring on M/T and Church on W. We have school store envelopes that can be signed and returned. Our AHA fundraiser has already raised over 1K! All $ due 2/14. Our spelling bee is on 2/6 for 3rd-5th students who signed up. Shorebirds Bookmarks due 2/19. Thank you!
Public Meeting Notice: The January 2024 meeting of the Somerset Board of Education
has been rescheduled for Wednesday, January 31, 2024, 4pm Closed / 6pm Open.
Hit the Books bookmarks are coming home today! Any student who reads 4 books will receive 2 FREE Shorebirds tickets to a game this spring. Please return completed forms to Mrs. Pusey by Monday, February 19th.
Due to anticipated road conditions, all after school and evening SCPS programs are canceled today, January 19, 2024. The Garland Hayward Center after school program will be open per the normal schedule.
