If you see a quick flash or hear the shutter clicking, turn around because you may catch one of our budding photographers in action! Students from Ms. Prado's "Introduction to Photography" class have been busy in Somerset County. Ms. Prado has four goals for our students in her class. They are: 1. For the students to develop their skills in communicating visually and verbally through photography. 2. For students to gain confidence in talking about and creating works of art in photography. 3. For students to learn more about themselves through art. 4. For students to expand their knowledge of artists and art historical trends and periods.
I would say we have some pretty great photographers blooming in #JagNation! Great work #Jags! Great teaching Ms. Prado!

In partnership with Shoreway to College, we are excited to provide our students with this experience!

Due to current weather conditions, Somerset County Public Schools will open after a 2-hour delay today, Monday, March 11, 2024. Essential and FNS staff should report on time or when safe.

Wow! Tony Morton and his GRIT Program executed another amazing men's event and dinner. Guest speaker Kevin King shared valuable life lessons and stories to our young men. A 5 minute decision can be the difference between success and incarceration. It is the job of parents, schools, and communities to speak and stand up for what's right. There's no tolerance for drugs, gangs, and guns. Let's Go! #JagNation

Congratulations to Kamryn Noble for being named a 2024 Recognized Carson Scholar! Our scholar was previously honored with a scholarship award and is now receiving a commemorative pin and certificate to acknowledge her continued academic and humanitarian achievements. Great job!
