Good afternoon, Woodson Families,

We're back - and ready to kick off an amazing school year! We're so excited to welcome all of our students tomorrow, Wednesday, September 3, and wanted to share a few important reminders to help ensure a smooth and successful first day.

🕣 Morning Arrival

Doors open for car riders at 8:35 AM.

Parents who need to visit the office (to drop off forms, ask questions, etc.) should enter through the front entrance of the school.

To ensure smooth transitions, procedures and safety, students will be dropped off and not escorted by parents to classrooms. Woodson staff will assist escorting all students to their classrooms. This is a new security parameter that all county schools are following. Thank you for your cooperation.

🚗 Car Line Reminder: Stop, Drop, and Roll!

To keep the car line running efficiently and safely, please follow our Stop, Drop, and Roll routine:

STOP - Come to a complete stop and place your vehicle in park at one of the 4 colored designated drop-off points along the walkway.
DROP - Be sure your child has all belongings ready before stopping. Students should exit from the passenger side of the vehicle.
ROLL - Once your child is safely out and clear of the vehicle, give a quick wave, check for pedestrians, and carefully exit the car line.

🔄 PowerSchool & Transportation

Please take a moment to complete all required PowerSchool forms and update your contact information if needed.

All changes to daily transportation must be submitted through the main office. This needs to occur before 3 o'clock to ensure the message gets to the child and teacher. While it's helpful to also notify your child's teacher, transportation changes must be officially recorded through the front office to ensure everyone is informed.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We can't wait to see all of our wonderful Woodson students bright and early tomorrow morning!
