Third grade students are completing the MCAP test on Monday, April 17th through Wednesday, April 19th. Please be sure your student gets a good night sleep and arrives to school on time. Also please encourage them to try their best. Each student has a chance to receive an Effort Tickets for trying their best. These tickets can used for a chance to win some really great prizes.

Look at these fabulous prizes!!!! These prizes will be raffled off this week using a student Effort Tickets. Students can win Effort Tickets each day during testing for giving their best effort into their MCAP test.

The CHS Pep Band spent time with our WES Woodson Waves mentoring them after the pep rally. It was great to see the students working together. Thank you Mrs. McHenry and Mrs. Jones for inspiring our students.

Yesterday Mrs. B Price lead our third, fourth, and fifth grade students in a MCAP testing pep rally. The CHS pep band got the students excited to try their best.

Wednesday, April 12th will be our Spring Picture Day for students. Students are required to wear their school uniform as they will also be taking their class pictures. Once again we will be using Lifetouch for our pictures and you should have received an order envelope from your child’s teacher.

School will be closed from Friday April 7th through Monday April 10th for Spring Break. We hope our Woodson Wave Families have a Happy Easter and safe Spring Break. We will welcome students back on Tuesday, April 11th.

Congratulations to Rihanna Williams in Mr. Daniels' 4th grade class! She was our 1,000th Lexia certificate. This was Rihanna's third level passed this year! Every time a student passes a level they earn a trip to our book vending machine. As a school we have given out over 1,000 books! Reminder: Today, 4/6/23 is an early dismissal day, then SCPS schools and offices will close for Spring Break on Friday 4/7 and Monday 4/10. We hope everyone has a restful break and we look forward to welcoming back students and staff on Tuesday 4/11.
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students will complete state testing at the end of the month. We would love to reward them for their hard work. To help raise money for this, students may dress casual for $1.00 on Thursday, April 6th. When choosing their special outfit, please keep in mind the county dress code guidelines
